Re-Fertilize your soil

Recycle, Recondition, Re-Fertilize – In Short:

Start a new cycle after harvesting the last one, whether in open soil or containers.

Objective: Rebalance a living soil after a cycle, if needed and without replacement, to maintain fertility, whether in pots or open soil.

Steps:

  1. Light Cleaning :

    • Remove surface crop residues while preserving decomposable roots.

  2. Surface Application :

    • Life: Apply 5-10 L per 100 L of soil / m² to replenish organic matter and microorganisms.

    • Ocean Custom Foundation or Light: Add 0.5-3 L / 100 L of soil OR m², depending on crop requirements.

  3. Gentle Tilling and Incorporation :

    1. Lightly mix amendments into the top 2–5 cm of soil.

  4. Watering and Covering :

    • Water to activate soil microbiology.

    • Add organic mulch and/or a cover crop to protect the soil.

  5. Cycle Ready to Restart :

    • Your soil is fertilized and ready for a new cycle and beyond.

Practical Tips

For Maximum Fertility:

  1. Follow the biological cycle of living soils :

    • Avoid turning, compacting, over-drying, or waterlogging the soil.

    • Maintain plant cover and/or organic mulch.

    • Water regularly to prevent dryness or excess moisture.

  2. Adapt Products to Crops :

    • For young plants and sensitive crops, use Ocean Custom Light.

    • To initiate full production cycles, choose Ocean Custom Foundation.

    • For specific flowering needs, opt for Ocean Custom Bloom.

  3. Synchronize with Lunar Cycles (biodynamic principes) :

    • Perform sowing, applications, and harvesting in alignment with lunar phases for improved efficiency.
